Art in Architecture
Art, architecture, interiors, and landscape were seamlessly conceived as a whole at our San Francisco project.
The design brief was to showcase one of the deepest collections of three-dimensional tribal art while preserving historical aspects of the home, and aligning spaces to the views of Alcatraz and the Bay.
The front facade was fully restored while the original detailing was preserved. However, the back of the house was completely renovated with a modern glass and steel addition to maximize the bay views.
We designed the interiors as a liveable museum for the art and objects that were strategically showcased throughout the home. Balancing color, material textures, and cabinet detailing created unique spaces while ensuring & accentuating a harmonious feel throughout.
